Intro
01A residence designed for the night
Our client, a collector who lives mostly after dark, wanted rooms that glow rather than shine. We composed a nocturnal palette of charcoal lacquer, Nero Marquina marble and smoked oak, where light is carved out of shadow.

Challenge
02Depth without darkness
Deep tones can quickly flatten a space. We layered finishes of different sheens, from honed stone to satin lacquer and brushed brass, and hid linear lighting in every reveal so surfaces read in soft relief at any hour.

Bagno Nero
Honed charcoal stone, slender brass pendants and a floating vanity that glows after dusk.

The Marquina Still Life
Veined Nero Marquina dressed with hammered brass bowls and hand-blown glass.

Outcome
03Quietly dramatic
The finished villa is intimate and cinematic, a backdrop for art, conversation and late dinners, where every object sits in its own pool of light.
