Intro
01The colour of the shore
A young couple returning to Lisbon asked for an apartment as bright and easy as a summer afternoon. We drew the palette from the coastline: sand, chalk, driftwood, and let generous bouclé seating soften a crisp gallery envelope.

Challenge
02Light, but never sterile
An all-white scheme can feel clinical. We introduced herringbone oak underfoot, a walnut wall in the bedroom and tactile textiles throughout, so the rooms stay luminous yet unmistakably warm.

Cucina di Sabbia
A sand-oak island against a black marble splashback, with every appliance hidden in joinery.

The Walnut Suite
A floor-to-ceiling walnut wall, stone-washed linen and a soft line of cove light.

Outcome
03A calm, sunlit sanctuary
The apartment now moves gently from morning to evening: open, uncluttered and serene, with art and a few beloved objects given room to breathe.
